Honda Power Pack Energy India Private Limited (HEID), a subsidiary of ​​Honda Motor Company announced earlier this year that it has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited for battery swap service. Both the companies have now commenced operations starting with Bengaluru as the pilot city.

Honda has created a new entity to enter the battery swap business in India. Interestingly, the government of India has also launched the first draft of India’s battery swap policy recently.

Atul has partnered with Valeo and Honda Power Pack Energy. Atul will be developing a cargo and passenger electric three-wheeler that will use Honda’s swappable battery pack and Valeo’s powertrain system.
